Hello friends if you do not clear about  pharmacopoeia or what is pharmacopoeia ?I am giving a definition of pharmacopoeia .

Pharmacopoeia -

                Pharmacopoeia is a standard book in which given directions ,ingredients, method of preparation of  drugs,medicines and  pharmaceutical apparatus .


The I.P. committed was constituted in 1948 for the publish of I.P.

The I.P. editions are

1)I.P. (1955)   followed by its supplement in 1960

2)I.P. (1966) followed by its supplement in 1975

3)I.P. (1985) followed it's addendum in 1989 and 1991

4)I.P. (1996) followed by its addendum in 2000 and 2002.

5)I.P. (2007) followed by its addendum in 2008.It includes three volume

6)I.P. (2010) followed by its addendum in 2012.It contains also three volume

7)I.P. (2014) with DVD the latest (7th edition) edition. Followed it's addendum in 2015.It include 4 volume.

2548 total monograph in which 577 new monograph in 7th edition of I.P. (Indian pharmacopoeia
